I am hearing a lot of buzz about this band in my home town. Their songs are amazing and my close friend is the lead singer for this group.
I would strongly recommend checking them out and giving their songs a good once over because it's definitely worth the time.

If anyone knows of any creative or unique artists, I'm looking to watch some photographers who can portray a real woman. And by real I mean healthy. Not plump, not super huge or ridiculously tiny.
Anywhere you look on this site you see the skinniest, sickest looking models who are starving themselves just to be in popular pictures. It gets kind of...depressing, especially when it sends a signal to the younger people on this site that you need to look like that in order to have a ' perfect body'. And then you're bombarded with insane pictures of anime girls who are never anatomically correct, on the front page of the site each day.
Just wondering if killing yourself is still the new image we want to endorse or if there's anyone else out there with another idea of beautiful is.

So...I know I'm starting to sound like a broken record but I really cannot wait for the new Gorillaz shiz-nit to come out. I feel like a kid at Christmas! They are saying the album will be released this year, SO EXCITED.
I'm going to have a slew of fanart when they start making videos and having the new concept for the characters out in the public. It's going to be wicked, also the clock has started counting down in the Hell-hole to June 6 again. I'm sure it will be something to do with Murdoc, or maybe a preview of a music video!!! Hopefully something cool.

I've always been a fan of the work by Gorillaz, but this year I seriously became obsessed with them. It was frustrating because I finally was able to realize their amazing music and unique artwork, but they had announced that they were no longer making CD's. I usually am not someone to like things when they're hot, I'll admit; I usually try not to hop on the MTV band-wagon because I don't usually like popular music. I was glad I came to adore them at my own rate and fully appreciate the talent from the group, but I still wanted to feel the anticipation that they would be making more work.
But now, now they have announced a new CD to be started in January '09!! I'm so excited! And they've been also talking about making a film for the group as well. I know it sounds nerdy to be obsessed with a virtual band, but I'm just so glad they decided to keep making beautiful music and spectacular artwork. The music scene was a bit stale before I discovered these guys, I'm glad they'll keep on working to raise the bar for everybody else ^_^
